As a Bartender for BLACKBARN your main goal is to provide exceptional customer service by elevating the guest experience. You have a support team of a Barback and fellow bartenders by your side with a management that has your full support, yet you are ultimately responsible for the individual experience of each of your guests. You should always be polite and courteous, anticipating the guest’s needs.

JOB DESCRIPTION*
* Proper set up and restock of all bar inventory as per sidework and replenishing as needed.
* Conduct a DOH check-list at the end of each shift
* Greeting guests within 60 seconds of sitting at the bar
* Assessing the guests’ needs and preferences and making recommendations
* Engaging guests and getting them excited
* Up-selling food and beverage whenever possible
* Guiding and properly placing food and beverage orders
* Properly mark the guests with the necessary placemats/flatware/plates BEFORE food arrives
* Maintaining proper bar top maintenance by promptly clearing plates, excess silverware and empty glasses and wiping down bar whenever necessary. Refold napkins as necessary
* Promptly refilling water or any other beverages/removing the glasses if no refills are wanted
* Checking identification for anyone under 21. (when in doubt, ID)
* Printing checks, making change, running credit cards and keeping track of credit card slips and cash tips during your shift
* Remain guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience from start to finish
* Proper and thorough cleaning and breakdown at the end of the shift-see closing sidework sheet
* Ensure DOH compliance
* Assisting in any other tasks as needed
