As a General Manager you are overseeing and running the daily operations of the restaurant. You are ensuring that it runs efficiently, delivers excellent customer service and all the financial goals and KPIs are being met.
You are responsible for the day-to-day operations, including staff management, customer service, financial performance and adherence to company policies. You play a key role in ensuring success by maintaining high standards of quality, service and customer satisfaction.

* Job Duties and Responsibilities
Staff Management
* Supervise front of house staff, including servers, hosts and support staff.
* Schedule shifts and manage employee rotations to maintain optimal staffing levels.
* Manage and approve weekly employee clock in/out times and tips for front of house staff.
Customer Service
* Maintain a strong focus on providing exceptional customer experiences and resolving customer concerns effectively.
* Make sure that the staff is delivering exceptional customer service, promoting a positive atmosphere, and building customer loyalty.
Operations Management
* Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met.
* Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency to ensure that the restaurant meets or exceeds customer expectations.
* Follow SOPs.
* Complete the End-of-Night Report after each shift.
Financial Performance
* Monitor financial performance, including revenue, costs, and profitability.
* Follow strategies to achieve revenue targets, control costs, and maximize profitability.
* Manage (oversee) inventory, order supplies, and monitor waste to optimize resource utilization.
Marketing and Promotions
* Implement approved promotional activities, events, and marketing campaigns to attract customers and boost sales.
* Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and communities to drive customer engagement.
Compliance and safety
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation guidelines.
* Oversee proper maintenance of equipment and facilities to create a safe and inviting environment for both customers and staff.
Team Leadership and Development
* Foster a positive work culture by providing leadership, motivation, and guidance to the restaurant team.
* Conduct performance evaluations, offer constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for staff development and advancement.
Reporting and Communication
* Complete and submit an accurate and thorough End-of-Night Report after each shift.
* Prepare regular reports on performance, operational metrics, and customer feedback for upper management.
* Attend monthly management meetings.
* Communicate effectively with both staff and management to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.
