Chef Abram Bissell’s SoHo restaurant, Principe, is seeking a highly-skilled and experienced Pastry Production Cook to join our culinary team. Principe showcases refined, modern seafood-focused cuisine with a nod to Italian traditions.

Our ideal candidate is a team player with a willingness to learn—a true love of hospitality and the culinary arts is a must!

Responsibilities include--but are not limited to—the preparation of a wide variety of dishes from the restaurant’s repertoire; working as a team with not only the kitchen but with our partners in the dining room; maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work-stations; collaborating with the restaurant team to ensure timely, efficient service; above all, do everything in our power and ability to provide our guests with an exemplary and unforgettable dining experience.

Requirements:

* 2-3 years of experience as a cook in a fine dining setting.

* Must be able and willing to work morning hours.

* Strong understanding of culinary techniques and terminology.

* Ability to work efficiently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

* Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

* Strong communication skills.

* Must be able to lift 50 Pounds and work while standing for long periods.

* Must possess a comprehensive understanding of sanitation requirements.

* Ability to climb and descend stairs often while working is a must.
