Raku is an upscale casual restaurant specializing in udon noodles and other Japanese small bites. We are seeking an experienced full-time/part-time Host, for our location in Soho.

The ideal candidate is someone with experience in the industry, unafraid to learn a new restaurant from the inside out, proactively seeks ways to earn the respect of their peers, demonstrates the ability to perform at a high level consistently, and always professionally conducts business.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

- Experience with Resy and experience managing high-volume waitlists are required.

- Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills are essential.

- Ability to manage high guest traffic and professionally set and maintain guest expectations.

- Skilled in quoting accurate wait times and adapting to maximize seating efficiency.

- Provide each guest with a warm, friendly, and professional welcome.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting reception area.

- Communicate effectively with servers and other Front of House team members.

- Address guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism.

- Ensure timely table turnover to optimize seating and enhance guest flow.

- Consistently uphold Raku's service standards to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
