Rule of Thirds is a Japanese restaurant in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, opened by Sunday Hospitality Group, the team behind Sunday in Brooklyn. We are looking for a dedicated part-time host to join our front of house team.

Hosts are responsible for providing warm hospitality to guests, managing reservations and walk-in diners, helping to facilitate the flow of service throughout the night, and maintaining a general knowledge of the food and beverage menu. Hosts will work to provide exceptional hospitality to each of our guests.

Specific job duties include, but are not limited to:

* Greeting guests and directing them to tables

* Accomodating seating for walk in guests

* Aiding mainteance of a waitlist when necessary

* Communicating table status with guests

* Coordinating large party reservations, private dining requests, or special circumstances with management

What You Bring

* Minimum of 1+ years’ front of house experience in a high-volume restaurant

* A positive attitude and passion for providing exceptional hospitality service

* A strong working knowledge of various reservations software

* Flexible work schedules: the ability to work night, weekends, holidays, as business permits

* Kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of time
