The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club is looking for a Front Desk Host.
We’re looking for a natural “people person” who will be integral in making sure our guests have a smooth experience from start to finish. This position is best suited for someone who is self-motivated with stellar communication skills.
Hosts will be tasked with:
* Greeting guests when they step into our shuffleboard paradise
* Explaining the process of getting on to a shuffleboard court
* Staying on top of buzzers, timers and ticket numbers for guests waiting to play
* Keeping an eye on the floor at all times to ensure the venue is operating efficiently
* Communicating with servers via pagers
* Starting tabs and closing transactions once guests have finished playing
* Opening & closing duties
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience working in a high-energy/high-volume venue
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* An extroverted personality and a love of humans
* Proficiency with POS systems (Toast would be ideal)
* Part time with weekend availability
* The ability to creatively & quickly problem solve, collaborate with a team and stay calm under pressure
