Seeking an individual with experience with Cheese and Charcuterie for a counter sales role at Le District's dynamic Fromagerie & Charcuterie Station. Fluent in Englsih please.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide excellent, consistent customer service
Demonstrate a positive, friendly attitude
Possess and acquire product knowledge
Work attentively and efficiently
Enthusiastically sample products
Suggest pairings and selections
Maintain the Merchandising of Product Displays
Understand and maintain Le District's philosophy and aesthetic, including retail displays and signage; regularly check for quality
Individual should have knowledge of all things Cheese including how it’s made, the varying differences between Sheep, Cow, and Goat, as well as a keen understanding of French Charcuterie; i.e. terrines, pâté, and mousses.
Job Requirements:
Be familiar with all equipment: Scales, POS system, sandwich press, heat seal station, meat slicer
Maintain cleanliness of knives, cutting boards and work stations
Possess food handling skills
Cutting (including knives, wires, double-handle), wrapping (paper for customers, plastic for storage and display)
Participate in fulfillment of orders for restaurant venues
Good communication skills
Good organizational skills and a sense of timing
Flexible to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
The ideal candidate has their Food Safety Certification or is working towards achieving this. This person enjoys working with food, talking about cheese and charcuterie, and managing a small team of mongers.
