*Position Overview:*

We are looking for a dedicated, experienced, and confident Captain to join our team. As the Captain, you will be responsible for leading a team of servers, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and maintaining a smooth and organized dining experience for all guests. You will be the go-to person for any service-related needs and will work closely with the management and kitchen staff to ensure the highest standards are met.

*Key Responsibilities:*

* *Leadership & Supervision:* Lead, mentor, and support a team of servers, ensuring high levels of performance and customer service.

* *Guest Experience:* Oversee the dining room to ensure guests are satisfied, stepping in to resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.

* *Service Coordination:* Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure the smooth flow of service, including the timely delivery of food and beverages.

* *Order Management:* Ensure all guest orders are accurately taken and transmitted to the kitchen, and that the correct items are delivered in a timely manner.

* *Training & Development:* Assist in training new servers, providing guidance on restaurant standards, service techniques, and menu knowledge.

* *Quality Control:* Check food and beverage presentation, ensuring every plate meets the restaurant’s quality standards before it is served.

* *Problem Solving:* Address and resolve service issues or guest concerns with a positive, solutions-focused approach, ensuring the best possible guest experience.

* *Efficiency:* Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient dining area, ensuring all tables are properly set and stocked.

* *Communication:* Effectively communicate with the management team, kitchen staff, and front-of-house personnel to ensure smooth operations.

* *Lead by Example:* Be a role model for exemplary service, professionalism, and teamwork. Lead by example in maintaining a positive, energetic, and professional attitude.

*Qualifications:*

* *Experience:* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a fine-dining or fast-paced restaurant environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership role (server lead, head waiter, etc.).

* *Leadership:* Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team of servers.

* *Communication:* Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

* *Customer Service:* Outstanding customer service skills and a passion for hospitality.

* *Problem-Solving:* Ability to think on your feet and resolve issues quickly and effectively.

* *Organization:* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.

* *Adaptability:* Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment.

* *Knowledge:* Comprehensive knowledge of food, beverages, and service standards; previous experience with POS systems is a plus.

* *Physical Requirements:* Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs. as necessary.
