Pinch Chinese is a Michelin Bib Gourmand, Michelin Sommelier Award Winner, and NY Times Critic's Pick restaurant , with over 150 bottle references in the heart of SoHo. We've just celebrated our 8th birthday and we're looking for a part-time Bartender/Server with weekend availability, and a passion for all things beverage.
We're a pooled house, so teamwork is essential. We enjoy delivering a quality experience for our guests. Previous experience in NYC casual/fine restaurants is required. A local SoHo following is preferred.
You should bring to the table:
- A minimum of 5 years experience serving in a high volume NYC restaurant or bar (and all the accompanying skills and knowledge!)
- A passion for food and wine pairings
- An appreciation for natural wines
- An interest in cocktail development
- Positive, team-forward attitude--no job is too small for anyone
- An understanding of upselling techniques
- Desire for cleanliness and organization behind the bar
- Leadership skills
- Humility and Hospitality over ego
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
