*Oceana Restaurant is seeking a Catering and Event Coordinator to join their events team.*
*Summary:*
The Catering and Event Coordinator will assist with all apsects of event planning, ensuring a seamless experience for all clients.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Working closely with the Director of Events in planning a diverse range of events in Oceana’s multiple private rooms, café/bar area, and West Park Beer Garden
* Creating banquet event orders, menus, place cards, and other event paperwork as needed
* Answering calls and emails from prospective clients
* Providing site tours as needed
* Handling the administration for outside catering orders
* Assisting with office supply ordering
* Additional tasks as needed
*Qualifications:*
* *Education:*
Bachelor’s degree preferred
* *Experience:*
1-3 years of hospitality experience preferred
* *Skills:*
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to multitask and work under pressure in an extremely fast-paced environment
* Proficiency in OpenTable and Microsoft 365 Suite
* Experience with high end clientele
*Compensation:*
* $25 per hour ( generally a 40 hour work week from 10AM-6PMMonday-Friday, but might vary due to holidays etc.)
