* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor

* Manage the waiting list and seating arrangements efficiently during peak dining hours

* Communicate effectively with the kitchen staff, servers, and management team to ensure smooth operation

* Answer phone calls and assist callers with reservations and inquiries

* Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host/hostess station

* Provide accurate wait times and monitor the dining room flow

* Assist in resolving customer complaints or issues to ensure guest satisfaction

* Uphold the restaurant's standards of service and hospitality at all times
