This is a part-time sommelier position for three dinner shifts a week, Sunday, Monday, and Thursday. All team members at King represent, sell, and serve food and beverages in an efficient, professional manner according to restaurant standards by performing the following duties:
* Lead wine sales and service during shifts while maintaining a small section in our bar room
* Assist in inventory and unpacking/organization of wine and the wine cellar
* Works closely with the wine, beverage, and service managers to maintain list and execute educational standards
* Applies knowledge of full food and beverage menu
* Serves customers in a professional manner as per training guidelines
* Take food and drink orders and enter them into POS in a timely and accurate fashion
* Works as a team player by exercising excellent respect and communication with other team members
* Maintains service areas such as the kitchen, dining room, bar and service stations during entire shift
* Receives customer payments, completes guest check transactions and tenders proper change to customers
* Communicates health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately
* Re-stocks items in dining room and bar as needed and alerts kitchen staff and manager of stock shortages
* Complete all assigned opening and closing duties
* Treat all coworkers with respect, consideration, and kindness at all times
